White mama goat had two kids yesterday! Adam delivered them, cleaned them up & started them suckling and they made it through the night. Thankfully it wasn't as cold as it has been (it's a balmy 38 degrees right now), so they should be out of the woods now, as they say. We recently lost two little babies - both were born on super cold nights and didn't make it. It's our own dang fault for leaving the billy in with the nannies for far too long, getting them pregnant just in time for a midwinter birth.
The babies aren't scared of people yet, so Andrea & I will go out later this afternoon to give some love and take more pictures.
